Our mission is to offer a unique service to our clients and referring veterinarians. Our goal is to greatly improve the quality of life for your pet by offering the best available rehabilitation and pain management therapy, as well as provide a highly accessible and cost effective physical fitness program for your pet. Our services will be provided in a comfortable and caring atmosphere where we strive to not only strengthen your pet's physical being but also contribute to yours and your companion's relationship as well.
The New England Canine Rehabilitation & Fitness Center offers a complete therapeutic approach to physical rehabilitation. Utilizing the latest in therapeutic modalities and canine fitness equipment, programs are offered for pre and post surgery patients, arthritis and pain management, obesity, fitness, and recreational exercise. All dogs entering the rehabilitation and fitness programs must have a referral from their primary care veterinarian. The primary care veterinarian will be kept informed as to your pet's progress. Patients receive a full evaluation and consultation with a veterinarian and therapist before beginning the physical rehabilitation program. NECRFC only provides veterinary consultations for the referred problem. The dog owner's goals are discussed, and a plan is developed to improve health and well being for their dog. The rehabilitation plan may include hydrotherapy, muscle therapy, and or fitness and exercise.
NECRFC is operated by certified canine therapists and veterinary technicians. The rehabilitation program provides a comprehensive approach to well being. Therapeutic modalities comprise of three hydrotherapy pools, an under water treadmill, Jacuzzi, massage therapy, therapeutic ultrasound, electrical stimulation, pulsed magnetic field therapy, laser therapy, cryotherapy, and heat therapy.
The fitness and exercise program promotes canine health and well being by offering convenient, timely exercise in a safe, temperature controlled environment. This program is excellent for dogs that have completed the rehabilitation program and would like to continue the program for maintenance, as well as for healthy dogs that can't be exercised outside, or for owners who are looking for a more challenging cross training fitness program for their dog. The fitness and exercise program boasts three exercise pools, dry treadmills, an underwater treadmill, agility equipment, and therapist assisted strengthening exercises, including work with physioballs, and stretching and corrective exercises.
